Tysons Auto Spotlight Revisits James Orsinger of Vienna Tech Help

Tysons Auto Spotlight Revisits James Orsinger of Vienna Tech Help

A little over three years ago the Tysons Auto Spotlight highlighted James Orsinger at Vienna Tech Help. Since that time three words have continued to put a smile on the faces of those who trust this growing local business, “There it works!”

At Vienna Tech Help, they just don’t want to get computers running; their goal is to keep them running and running well.

You may remember from our previous visit with James that he had not planned on establishing a computer repair and installation business. He was the owner of a successful welding and machine shop, but also had dabbled in computers since 1969. He always loved to learn how things worked, and the computer was no exception.

He became the “go-to guy” for family and friends when they had computer problems. The phone calls at his shop increasingly were about IT issues and not welding projects. As someone who enjoyed helping others, James decided to go with the flow and begin Vienna Tech Help.

James always enjoyed solving problems and helping people. “I can fix almost everything,” he liked to say, “except a broken heart.”

So, what’s new at Vienna Tech Help?

It’s Fall Car Care Month: Is Your Car Trying to Tell You Something?

While talking cars only appear in the movies, your vehicle can still communicate using its own language. Sounds like squealing, thumping, hissing and grinding are all signs that your vehicle may be trying to tell you something, says the Car Care Council.

“It’s important for car owners to listen and act accordingly when their vehicle speaks up,” said Rich White, executive director, Car Care Council. “By checking out what your vehicle is saying, you can take care of the problem now and avoid a breakdown or more costly repairs later.”

Many motorists are familiar with noises their vehicles make on a daily basis. However, any noise that is new, different or suspicious may indicate a problem. For example, a high-pitched squeal that stops when pressing on the brake pedal is a sign that a vehicle’s brakes should be inspected. The same goes for grinding that could be the result of worn brake pads that should be replaced.

Making Sure You Car Will Go Is Important, But So Is Making Sure It Will Stop!

Making Sure You Car Will Go Is Important, But So Is Making Sure It Will Stop!

Regular Brake Fluid Service is critical to your stopping power.

Call now! The professionals at Tysons Auto Specialties are ready and able to provide you with their premium BG Brake Fluid Service at a special price.

Sometimes we forget that our car uses brake fluid to push the brake pads against the brakes. And just like the other fluids in your automobile, it requires regular service.

Brake fluid can attract moisture or become contaminated, reducing braking performance. In some cases brake calipers may even need to be replaced.

The professionals at Tysons Auto Specialties use a special test strip to determine if your fluid is continuing to function properly in your braking system.

When it’s time for brake fluid service, we will completely replace your existing fluid with a premium high temperature DOT 3 or DOT 4 fluid from BG.

Click on the picture above and then click the stop sign icon on the right side for a brief video about this service.

Good braking is important to successfully navigate Northern Virginia traffic. Have confidence in your stopping power by allowing the professionals at Tysons Auto Specialties to check your brake fluid and see if it time for service.

Call Tysons Auto by August 17 and receive $20 off your brake fluid service.

Extreme Summer Heat Can Burn Up Car Batteries

Extreme Summer Heat Can Burn Up Car Batteries

Summer’s extreme temperatures can destroy a vehicle’s battery. The Car Care Council advises vehicle owners to have their cars’ batteries tested periodically and replaced, if necessary, to avoid being stranded.

Excessive heat and overcharging shortens the life of a battery. Heat causes battery fluid to evaporate, which then damages the internal structure of the battery. A malfunctioning component in the charging system, usually the voltage regulator, allows too high a charging rate, which will eventually destroy a battery.

“When most motorists think of dead batteries that cause starting failure, they think of severe winter weather, but summer heat is the real culprit,” said Rich White, executive director, Car Care Council. “Many battery problems start long before the temperatures drop. A few simple steps now can help you avoid the cost and inconvenience of a breakdown later.”

To get the most life out of a battery, the Car Care Council suggests the following:
