A Robert Frost poems says:

Spades take up leaves
No better than spoons,
And bags full of leaves
Are light as balloons.

Leaves may be light as balloons, but they can sometimes be slippery as ice, especially if you add a little water to the mix. In the fall, the accumulation of leaves on neighborhood roads and city streets can be significant since cars are not traveling at speeds sufficient to blow them away.

Rainy fall days can be very deceiving, so use your best defensive driving techniques, watching your speed as well as your cornering techniques.

Please remember that when your wipers are on, your headlights should also be on.
