Have you ever wondered where you can see fireworks on the 4th of July? If you’re like most of us, this question comes up sometime on July 3rd, and we have an answer for you.

In addition, Tysons Auto Specialties has a suggestion for this summer. Why not bump it up a notch and really plan a special Independence Day?

As you know, we’re a big fan of the “Virginia is for Lovers” website, sponsored by the Virginia Tourism Corporation. They have a wealth of great travel resources that those of us who live in the Commonwealth should really utilize.

For this year’s July 4th events, they have a special webpage at www.virginia.org/july4th/ where you can find listings for festivals, parades, fireworks, winery events and other activities. Whether you’re looking for a good old-fashioned fire truck parade, fireworks on the York River, a patriotic concert or bluegrass music festival, this site can show you where things are happening.

Here’s another tip: Under “Related Articles” click on the “Cool Places for Kids” to find a host of great activities organized by age. Whether your children are six or sixteen, you find some great things to do that will keep your kids from rolling their eyes and saying the “b” word – bored.
