Spring is just about upon us, so its time to get out your calendars and plan your weekend getaways to one of the great festivals hosted in our Commonwealth. And if you are wondering who, what, why and where, have we got a site for you!

The Virginia Tourism Corporation, best known for their website Virginia is for Lovers (www.virginia.org) has a great page filled with dates and places for this year’s Spring events. Simply got to www.virginia.org/springfestivals/ and you will find all you need to know, arranged by date and theme.

Are you interested in wine festivals or want to check out some Arts and Crafts? Would you like to visit some beautiful homes and gardens? How about flying a kite or visiting a Scots-Irish heritage day? Virginia offers something for everyone!

One of our premier events is Virginia’s Historic Garden Week, held in late April around the entire state. Now in its 80th Year, this annual exposition features 250 participating historic landmarks, botanical gardens and private estates. For information, you can visit www.virginia.org/springfestivals/.
