Forget about the weather outside, it’s time to think Spring!

blog4Are you getting tired of winter? Virginia seems now to have caught up in snowfall with the wintry weather that afflicted other areas of the country. Frigid temperatures, ice and snow are with us now but they shall soon be a memory.
While we’re only about a month away from the official date of Spring, this year Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow on Groundhog Day and forecast six more weeks of winter. So, why not get out some hot cocoa, make a fire, then sit back and think of warm sunny days. Now is a great time to begin talking with your family about taking a Spring break this year.
blog4-2Virginia is even now getting ready to provide families with great springtime memories again this year. Many of these sites and attractions are an easy drive from Northern Virginia.
So what can we see in our future? How about theme parks such as Kings Dominion in Richmond or Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, which will be opening up in time for spring break. While waterparks will still be closed until summer, don’t forget the indoor fun you can have at Great Wolf Lodge Waterpark in Williamsburg and the Massanutten Resort Water Park in McGaheysville.
Looking for something out of the ordinary? Go for a hot air balloon ride, try geocaching, or go cave exploring or visit the Route 11 Potato Chip factory in Mount Jackson, VA.

Next month we will be giving you more information on geocaching, along with two other related activities, letter boxing and travel bugs. You won’t want to miss it!
