Missy Tuttle’s middle name should be “At Your Service.” Whether it’s assisting a visitor find her way at a BNI meeting, helping with a community service event or dealing with pesky technology issues that can plague an office, the founder and president of Gemmis Technologies is always eager to help.

Founded in 2005, Gemmis Technologies provides businesses with technology support for equipment including phones, computers, servers, security cameras, etc. In addition, they can provide residential and small business installation of cable or wireless networks, managed virtual private networks and firewall services.

“While most technology companies focus only on the task at hand,” Missy stated, “we also put a strong focus on our clients, that they feel valued and see us as a part of their team.” This client-first approach is a key component to the “Gemmis touch” when it comes to service.

“When you’re running a small business, every penny counts. We want to help you meet your current business needs while keeping the future in mind, including expandable systems and affordable solutions. We can get ‘IT’ done!”

Missy and her team of professionals know that the ever-changing landscape of technology can be confusing to most business professionals. It can also distract them from what they should be doing in order for their business to grow.

In order to find your business financial and technology “sweet spot,” Missy offers a free business assessment that can help.

“We know that planning your technology needs can be tricky. You can plan too small and you’ll outgrow it in a short time. You can also plan too large and you’ll be wasting your new company’s limited resources.”

Originally from Lewiston, NY, Missy and her husband, Jeff, live in the Lake Ridge, VA area. They are the proud parents of four boys with the youngest still living at home.

Missy believes in giving back to her community and is heavily involved in public service as well as volunteer projects. She is a member of Zonta International, The American Business Women’s Association, The New York State Society, Toastmasters and Business Networking International (BNI). She is also a coach for Girls on the Run.

She recently completed Community Emergency Response Team Training (CERT). “CERT,” she explained, “educates people about disaster preparedness and trains in basic disaster response skills such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization and disaster medical operations.”

In her spare time – and you’ll need to ask her where she finds that – Missy enjoys sailing, reading, music and cooking.

Missy started taking her car to Tysons Auto Specialties about a year ago. “I met Tom several years ago,” she said, “but didn’t use his shop because I live about 30 miles from there. In this area, that feels like a million miles in rush hour.

“I now make the trip because I trust him. I’m on the road all the time and safety isn’t an option. Tom and his team get the job done and I feel well advised and well taken care of.”

The reason she goes out of her way to use Tysons Auto Specialties can be summed up in one word. Trust.

“Tom and his team are honest, above all else. You know that when they make a recommendation, it’s the right one. They offer quality work at a fair price, and above all else, integrity.”

Missy knows that Gemmis Technologies has incredible growth potential and is committed to leading it into the future. To strengthen that resolve, she has received training and certifications in sales, service excellence, operations management, people management and customer service.

As an entrepreneur, she wears many hats in networking, sales and meeting her client’s needs. She is truly “at your service.”

“We want to be your technology partner in business. We can cut through the hype and help you leverage technology to enhance business practices and increase productivity.”
