Katalyst Solutions and WriteView Communications team up to spotlight recommended businesses and Tysons Auto Specialties service.

When Tom Ivey decided to upgrade his monthly newsletter he put together two companies he knew well through Business Networking International (BNI). Don Cranford of Katalyst Solutions was already his web and newsletter designer. They were both in the same (BNI) chapter and Tom had great confidence in the quality, creativity and depth of experience that went into the development of his website.

When visiting the McLean Business Forum Chapter as an ambassador a few years ago he met Randy Sly of WriteView Communications, a marketing content and communications company. By listening to Randy’s “elevator speeches,” which often involved some kind of unique approach, he began to understand the importance of creative communications. At the beginning of 2009 Tom approached Randy about providing the written content for the newsletter, who eagerly agreed and the first edition was published on the web in February 2009.

“Tom was already my friend and my mechanic,” Sly stated. “I was thrilled to help him get his message out.”

Tom had more in mind than just highlighting his products and services. He wanted to spotlight other businesses that he had come to know and trust.

“There are a lot of small businesses in Northern Virginia,” he said, “that need to have a spotlight put on them! I meet these great men and women every week at BNI meetings, Chamber meetings and in my shop. I want to do everything I can to get the word out about their work.”

By putting together a leading web developer and an experienced marketing writer, he would be able to offer his spotlight businesses a boost in their visibility for the Northern Virginia area.

On this second anniversary of the newsletter team, Tom want to take this opportunity to thank these two men and their companies for all they have done for Tysons Auto Specialties.
