While Tim Draves’ official title is Senior Loan Officer, you can really describe his role as “Senior Persistence Officer.” As a specialist in residential home loans for over 14 years, Tim is not afraid of a challenge.

“We have the ability to work around and through issues,” he explained. “If there is a way to get the loan done, my team and I will figure it out.”

Time and time again, Tim has exhibited a determination to make sure a loan closes properly and professionally. That’s why his clients eagerly recommend his services to their family and friends.

Born and raised in the Milwaukee area, he graduated from Valparaiso University and has been living in the Washington, DC area since 1994. He and his wife, Tiffany, have three school-age children, which makes their life very busy. When he has a little extra time, though, you’ll find Tim on the golf course or with a fishing rod in his hand.

He joined Virginia Heritage Mortgage, a division of Virginia Heritage Bank, in 2011. While he has been affiliated with other mortgage lenders, he truly enjoys his affiliation with VHB Mortgage as he is able to offer a wide variety of programs specifically to support both first-time as well as more experienced homebuyers. His goal is to make your home-buying dream a reality.

Named a “Top 5” loan officer for VHB in 2012, Tim prides himself in maintaining a strong commitment to customer service. Having worked as a manager for printing offices for ten years prior to entering the mortgage industry, he especially pays attention to the details that accompany each and every contract.

“I am eager to help people with issues other loan officers do not have the time for or do not have the expertise to help,” he commented. “When a loan closes, there is nothing more satisfying than seeing the smiling face on a new home owner that accompanies a handshake and a “thank you.”

About a year ago, Tim began using Tom Ivey and Tysons Auto Specialties for all his automotive repair needs. The reason, he indicated was the “personal service and trust that Tom will do the right thing when it comes to repairs for my truck personal service and personal trust.”

“Tom takes the time to explain everything that is going on with your car. He only fixes what needs to be fixed. I can always trust that Tom will do the right thing for his customers.”

Tom always knows good service when he sees it, that’s why he invited Tim Draves to share the Tysons Auto Specialties spotlight this month. If you are in need of a residential mortgage or simply want to explore some possibilities, you can contact Tim at tdraves@vhbmortgage.com.
