"I first met Tom in the late 1980's where he immediately came across as one who objectively presented all options when it came to repairs, from "drive it until it stops" to "fix it now to avoid further damage". I moved away and returned in 1998 and called him regarding a transmission repair. He quickly referred me to a transmission specialty facility which he uses on a regular basis, telling me to go there directly and avoid additional diagnostic fees from Tom's own shop.
